The Musically Unorthodox Project is an In Music In Media initiative setup to support marginalised youth that face challenges such as social exclusion, failing mainstream education and youth offending.

The projects aim is to raise awareness of alternative career paths within the creative industries, and provide relevant support to equip and facilitate these young people in accessing these unconventional opportunities.

Young people learn inside professional recording, film, photography, podcast and digital-production environments.

They work with practitioners who understand the industries they aspire to enter and develop skills using professional equipment and workflows.
